Integration Museum

Since the 1950’s, the communist authorities set up an internment camp for nuns from Czechoslovakia. This is how the school sisters of Notre Dame, the Boromean women, the Norbertines, the Franciscan sisters and many others found themselves here.  A total of 15 different religious congregations, several hundred sisters. Each of them had a choice: „either you return to the civil world or you will be interned”. They remained faithful to their vows: „to be with Christ”. Just over the border in Bila Voda, for decades they worked and prayed for the hearts transformation of their oppressors. In the rural cemetery you can find graves of nearly 700 sisters faithful to the end, for whom Bila Voda became „the end of the world and at the same time the gate to heaven”.     In the Integratiom Museum you will see what the nuns left behind in Bila Voda. The Museum has many souvenirs and exhibits worth seeing.
